In addition, the construction of sidewalks on both sides of the crossing road T-533-2 is started, with the aim of improving the safety of pedestrians who move in this way

The Ministry of Development and Infrastructure has improved the regulation of road traffic and road safety at the intersection linking the regional road RM-533 (Ceutí-Archena) with the road that gives access to the neighborhood of Vistalegre municipality.

José Antonio Fernández Lladó, general director of the Highways, and the mayor of Ceutí, Juan Felipe Cano, visited the intersection on the occasion of the start of operation of the new traffic light with push button that "has contributed to greatly improve traffic flow in the zone".

José Antonio Fernández said that thanks to the installation of the traffic lights, "the movements and movements of the more than 5,000 vehicles that daily pass through this crossing have been ordered," of which more than 300 are trucks and heavy vehicles.

Likewise, a pedestrian crossing has been installed to signal, facilitate and give greater security at this intersection to the residents of Ceutí, especially to the students who use it daily to go to their schools and to those who wish to access the municipal cemetery .

The action, which has had an amount of 24,000 euros, has also included the renewal of all horizontal and vertical signage of the intersection to adapt it to this new road management.

The director general also visited the construction works on the sidewalks, on both sides of the crossing road T-533-2, with the aim of improving the safety of pedestrians who move in this way.

These works have a budget of about 24,000 euros.

The work consists in the provision of a sidewalk two meters wide at the beginning of the crossing.

The works include the demolition and the laying of a new curb that delimits the area of ​​the sidewalk, the regularization of the base with zahorra, the placement of concrete slab and the paving with terrazzo tile.

Likewise, the lighting network will be channeled and the street lamps will be installed by the City Council.
