The Community works in the rehabilitation of 44 social housing in Ceutí (12/07/2017)

The Community works on the rehabilitation of 44 social housing in Ceutí, in which more than 318,000 euros will be invested.

Laura Sandoval, director general of Territorial Planning, Architecture and Housing, and the mayor of the municipality, Juan Felipe Cano, visited today the works, which are expected to be completed in October.

Laura Sandoval explained that the objective of the Ministry of Presidency and Promotion is to maintain housing in optimal conditions of habitability.

Thus, said the director, "we are improving façades, decks and accesses, to which is destined more than 130,000 euros, and will also carry out the renovation of the sanitation network and other facilities, with an investment of 88,000 euros ".

The rehabilitation of these social housing, under a lease, is part of the actions of the regional government to guarantee access to a decent housing for people who need it most.

This is complemented by initiatives of the State Housing Plan, which includes rental assistance, subsidies for rehabilitation and urban regeneration and improvements in accessibility in buildings, among other measures.

"It aims to contribute to improving the quality of life of its occupants by adapting the buildings and renovating the image of this group of dwellings," said Sandoval.

In the area of ​​social housing, the Ministry of Presidency and Development is acting this year in the rehabilitation of 477 social housing in nine municipalities, in the acquisition of new housing for the relocation of families in situations of social exclusion and in the completion of the Construction of ten new homes.
