In this website, young people can meet virtually and share multimedia content such as music, videos and images, and be able to access a section managed by the City of Ceuta where he informed travel opportunities, scholarships, awards and work.

Young people, individually or collectively, may be submitted until Oct. 31 its proposals for a competition, worth 3000 euros in the form of creating "Best Media Website" and 700 euros in the category "Best advertising campaign."

The Department of Youth, New Media and Citizen Participation of the City of Ceuta have weighed the importance of creating multimedia portal as a new way of interaction and participation between local government and the youth population of the municipality.

They also believe it important to use the Internet as a means to encourage some people who would not normally participate in politics and therefore, in their relations with the public (particularly young people) can decide to do it in a medium that is comfortable and familiar.

Recent studies by the Social Research Centre (CIS) in Spain denote the high percentage of Internet use among young people.

85 percent of young Spanish people under 30 use the Internet daily.

Of those, 92 percent use social networks to chat with friends almost daily.

Among the Internet services most used by young people, instant messaging (type IM) is at the head, followed by listening to online music and videos, search for information for study or work and sending and receiving emails.
