The masterful drama by Federico Garcia Lorca "La casa de Bernarda Alba" is represented in the auditorium of Ceuta on Friday, a group staged Murcia "Alquibla" and the direction of Antonio Saura.
The work, considered a tragedy by the author's studies Grenadian society is based on the deep Spain in the early twentieth century, society austere, fanatical, pious and violent which placed women in a secondary level.
One of these women, Bernarda, is shown as a prototype from her second widowhood, sixty years old and surrounded by five daughters to mourn also imposes a rigorous and a straight path according to a strict morality that includes marriage, even if of convenience.
"The House of Bernarda Alba," written in 1936, had to wait nine years for release in Buenos and wait until 1964 to give life to Anguish, Magdalena, Amelia, Martyrdom and Adela, and Bernard himself.
