The town of Ceuta morning officially announced their fiestas in honor of San Roque and Santa Maria Magdalena, proclaimed by Thomas Ecija, award-winning owner and chef of the restaurant "El Albero", during a ceremony in the square by the town hall of the locality during which the bands imposed Florists 2013.
Early in the evening, the mayor, Juan Felipe Cano, and Celebrations Councilman Joaquin Bermejo collected one by one to the florists in their homes, and all of them, along with their spouses and members of the municipal corporation, march from Plaza Nueva to the Juan Carlos I Park, which hosts these first acts, including the firing of the "Chupinazo" output, by the priest Ramón Jara, who testifies to the start of the festivities.
During the holidays, many bars and restaurants offer their own Ceuta street performances supported by special tastings and contests of various kinds.
Until August 7, the day of the "Pasha" in San Roque, competitions are held chess and checkers in the library, or pen Pique contests, and launching of brick, and a meeting in the museum reading "7 Chimneys ", for the recovery of Ceuta stories.
At that day, the pilgrims come down to San Roque from the chapel to the church of St. Mary Magdalene, where it will remain for the duration of the celebrations, processions to the smell of the rosemary basil spread between bands, brass bands and popular extras.
The festivities are repeated calls each day thereafter until August 15, the day when the neighbors Ceuta morning held a Mass orchard in honor of St. Mary Magdalene in the Parish Church of Ceuta, and in the afternoon, a parade of floats and bands with florists as well as a concert dedicated to the music of the eighties.
The next day morning Mass is celebrated in honor of San Roque and evening procession to honor the Patron.
