The 18 students of mixed youth employment and training program about gardening and farming that develops in Ceuta are putting into practice what they learned in their own classes in the town streets.
And these young people under 25 are working with municipal workers in cleaning and summer pruning of trees and gardens of the resort.
This initiative, which began in April and will last six months, with a grant from the Employment and Training Service (SEF) of the regional government for an amount of 140,000 euros.
This temporary program aims to improve the employability of unemployed youth in the municipality to facilitate their employment by participating in this project which has a public utility and whose practical part will be paid.
Moreover, its conclusion pupils receive the certificate of professionalism that will assist in their integration into the labor market.
Among the works or services to be performed in this project is the creation and implementation of a greenhouse of 150 m2 located in the park.
With this infrastructure as a base, we will proceed to plant tree species for reforestation of municipal green areas and the development of appropriate agricultural techniques for growing fruit.
