The electronic ID is a key to the widespread use of electronic communications and the development of Information Society, which will, in optimal conditions of accessibility, safety and reliability, electronically certify the identity of its holder, and electronically sign documents.
The electronic ID card contains a chip with information concerning the identity of the citizen and his signature, and their biometric data (fingerprint and facial image).
