The registration deadline for the contest curated exhibition project of the Center for Contemporary Art Canning of Ceuta, which allows everyone who wishes to submit its proposal to the different areas of this facility, ends on October 2nd at 14 : 00.
The purpose of the call, which started last September 10 and which authors can submit curatorial projects in Spain, individually or collectively, is finding new exhibition projects, contemporary building that stand for innovation and quality.
In addition, The Cannery is open every Friday from morning until the end of the call so that all stakeholders can see the rooms of the center.
The commissioners finalists will receive the amount of $ 3,000 in fees and enable a budget of 90,000 euros for the production of the proposals selected, with a maximum of 15,000 euros per project.
An external independent jury formed by the director of the National Center of Art Reina Sofia, Manuel Borja-Villel, by the curator, art critic and coordinator of worship supplement of ABC, Laura Revolt, and the director of the gallery Espacio Minimo, Jose Martinez Calvo, make an assessment based on their novelty, discourse coherence, exhibition design, quality, aesthetics, functionality and, in general, discretionary aspects that are suitable for conducting exhibitions and for the center image.
We will take into account issues such as the integration of projects with technological devices or social networks, collaborative work between commissioners (if any), and the economic and technical feasibility of the project in relation to available budgets.
The exhibition of selected proposals will be held in the rooms of The Cannery from January to July 2014.
