Starts in Ceuta resurfacing of several pedestrian streets totaling more than 102,000 euros (26/02/2015)

The City of Ceuta has already begun the refurbishment and renovation of the paving of several streets in the center of the village, which have an investment of 102,430 euros.

This work, funded by the regional government, have begun in the area adjacent to the Plaza Vieja area, next to the parish church, specifically in Clavijo, Saplings, San Roque, Flags and Poet Medina streets.

"We are raising the actual stone pavement to proceed to its replacement by cobblestones, which is a less slippery surface that greater pedestrian safety is achieved," said Councilman Works and Services, Jesús Hernández, who claims that these works will be completed in less than a month.

This project will be completed shortly with another series of similar work in the streets Francisco Rabal, Mallorca and Maestro Martinez.

In these ways the natural stone is dismantled and replaced by cobblestone also support traffic, while repaired and improved scuppers water collection.

"These actions will involve a major makeover downtown areas of our people, to the benefit of the quality of life of our residents," said the mayor.
