On Sunday March 8 held the "Day of Working Women" and the City of Ceuta, through its Department of Social Policy, Women and Immigration Equality, celebrated this date with a special day.

Coinciding with the monthly craft market in the municipality, this event began at noon in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento and was chaired by the local mayor, Juan Felipe Cano, and the councilor of the area, Pura Hernandez.

As main event, a tribute to those who are and have been presidents in the various associations of the town surrendered.

Thus, distinctions were to: Paulina Bolarín Torregrosa, Fina Garcia and Francisca López Carrillo (current) of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC);

Rosa María Cano Martinez of the Women's Association of Ceuta;

María Fernández Pérez and embodies Aráez Perea (current president), Pensioners Club;

Paulina Bolarín Torregrosa, Ascension and Dolores García Sánchez García Martí (current) of the women's association "Concepción Arenal";

Valvanera Sanz (Director) of "Primores";

Fulgencia García Vigueras (posthumously) of the cultural association "SuperArte";

María Angeles Martí Bravo, cultural association "Alábega";

Mary Guillamón Bolarín of the neighborhood association "The Casica";

and Carmen Jara Fernández, of the cultural association "La Acequia".

"It's a way of recognizing their work on behalf of our people, who have contributed their dynamism, effort and determination," said Hernandez, who also indicated that he acknowledged "the association of disabled ALFA for their great collaboration at all municipal events ".

The mayor read the traditional clear that honors women in this important date, in a ceremony that also featured the collaboration of artists Salva Gasco, Pedro Joaquí-Bane Lightwood and Ana Salas, who delighted the audience with their songs.

In closing, the City Council honored invited to a Spanish wine in the Parque Juan Carlos I.

Also on the occasion of this anniversary the City of Ceuta held Thursday, March 12 (17 hours) laughter therapy workshop in the Home of the Pensioner morning.

It will have free support and he will learn to use practical benefits of laughter, remove emotional blocks, to learn to laugh with the whole body and recognize laughter as attitude towards life.
