The "Bill of Sale Ceuta Manor", granted by Ferrer de Manresa and his wife Sancha Juan Sánchez de Claramunt in Barcelona on October 19, 1333, shall be deposited in the General Archive of the Region of Murcia (AGRM).
This has been signed on the morning of Friday March 13 local mayor, Juan Felipe Cano, and the general director of Cultural Assets of the regional government, Maria Comas.
"This document will continue to belong to the Municipal Archives of Ceuta, ie continue for all residents of the town, but now have the best space and the best care for proper maintenance for many years," said Cano.
Under the agreement, the AGRM carried description document, reproduced in digital format and delivered to the City of Ceuta a copy of the description and two digital copies, one on high quality and a low resolution as well as a facsimile copy.
The scroll will have the same conditions of custody, preservation and dissemination than the rest of the documentary collections preserved in the AGRM and the Consistory recovery may request at any time.
"To exit the document file, provided for purposes of cultural interest such as exhibitions or similar, will require our permission," said the mayor.
In the ceremony of this original written for safekeeping by the regional institution also attended the Councillor for Culture, Ascension Nicholas, and the director of AGRM, Rafael Fresneda.
"It is a cornerstone in the history of Ceuta and the region itself, and the deposit of this scroll will allow preservation in the best environmental conditions and techniques to a historical document of such importance," says Comas.
Note that a digital copy of this document will integrate into the "Crimson Project" along with other historical documents of the Region of Murcia.
