Ceuta joins the'Municipio emprendedor' initiative aimed at promoting entrepreneurship (09/04/2015)

The Minister of Industry, Tourism, Enterprise and Innovation, Juan Carlos Ruiz, and the mayor of Ceuta, Juan Felipe Cano, this morning signed the agreement by which the municipality is incorporated into the 'entrepreneurial Municipality' initiative, which are already Murcia 22 municipalities adhered to this initiative led by the Instituto de Fomento (Info), a pioneer in Spain and has been highlighted as an example of good practice in Europe.

The regional manager of company remarked that "these agreements pursue closer collaboration between the regional and local administrations to create wealth and, above all, create jobs".

For this, the agreement includes over 50 measures adopted both the Department and the City Council to promote entrepreneurship, facilitating the creation of enterprises through initiatives such as business incubators, reduce red tape, facilitate access to finance and promote industrial land, among other objectives.

Juan Carlos Ruiz said "Ceuta can benefit from the advantages of Emprendemos Plan 2014-2017, which envisages a total investment of 100 million euros for its lifetime, which involves more than 23 million in this annuity, for to finance entrepreneurial projects. "

In addition, the 'entrepreneurial Municipality' will join the network of PAE (Points of Attention to the Entrepreneur) of Info.

"The support entrepreneurship are having good results in the Region of Murcia, as evidenced by the fact that it is setting up an average of 230 new companies per month."

Ruiz also recalled that in 2014 the number of companies discharged from the Social Security experienced an increase of 1.9 percent, a point above the national average experienced growth.

"These same positive data are found in increasing self in the region, with growth last year of 3.2 percent, 2.5 percent higher than the national average," said Ruiz.

The 'entrepreneurial Municipality' initiative within the Emprendemos Plan of the Region of Murcia, received the award European Entrepreneurial Region of the European Commission.

The 22 municipalities that comprise represent 75 percent of the surface of the region and 85 percent of its population.
