IUCeutí want to make clear that the building has been sold Ceutimagina a promotion board of Ceuta (public company) on November 28.

On the 1500 sale of works of art make the following vote Justification:
IUCeutí voted for the offer of Ceutimagina + works of art to the community because we are the ones that offered to the community while we were ruling and we should be consistent with the fact.
But this vote was not a blank check and put on the table our terms for sale.
IUCeutí voted against selling the building and the artwork in full after stating as reasons that did not meet our conditions, which were:
We wanted to know what the future holds the building.
For the cultural program was the same height or higher.
We wanted to know if the art works were to follow based in Ceuta or not, and when exposed to other sites that might carry the name Ceutí wherever he went.
We wanted to know what would happen to the workers, to guarantee a way out.
We wanted that there was an independent assessment of the Community and the City.
In recent days there have been more than met these assumptions and that is why on the plenum of December 4 IUCeutí has changed the vote and voted in favor of the CARM sale of works of art.
Other considerations that we have taken into account in deciding the vote are:
The sale of works of art are made to a public body not to an individual for the sole purpose of being displayed without any commercial interest.
Failure to approve this sale could have meant that in January, once sold the building, the artwork was left with a warehouse in appropriate storage conditions, since the only gallery that exists is within the Ceutimagina Ceutí.
Failure to approve this sale could have meant that in January the workers were totally helpless.
At least with these conversations have ensured a more stable output for most of them.
What has changed with this operation for residents of Ceuta?:
Ceutimagina was a regionally well-known museum and international exhibitions ever had. Ceutimagina going to be ... The Regional Museum and will have international impact presentations that will happen for him.
The cultural offer is not only maintained, but is wide.
Ceutimagina was a cultural project interesting but no economic viability, which cost us the residents of Ceuta much of our taxes and one of the causes of the great debt owed by the City Council. Now, Ceutienses still have a cultural project in Ceuta of greater importance to cost € 0.
The 1500 works of art stored in the Ceutimagina rarely exposed and almost none of Ceuta was aware of its existence.
Now, the 1500 works of art will remain based in Ceuta and will have more opportunities to be exposed (this is what artists really must want to ART is to be appreciated and not to be kept in storage) and bear the name of Ceutí everywhere they go.
Ceutimagina brought many schools during working days from the kind of exposure they had.
Now Ceutimagina will continue to maintain such visits, as well as those interested in the exhibition, since the characteristics of the building, besides giving an exhibition of international use, will have an educational use, and production workshops .
We have not mentioned any economic reason to justify its sale, although that is a fact that also affects the interests of all residents of Ceuta.
We believe that in general, the agreement with the Community is more than fair for all involved and have come into play IUCeutí and have held our position until the last minute has substantially improved the conditions of sale.
