The government representative visits the works carried out under the Local Investment Fund in the College Diego Martínez (04/11/2009)

The Local Investment Fund has funded 8 projects in Ceutí worth over 1.5 billion euros.

The City Council has received the first payment of 70% of all projects, and full payment of the first one has finished.

The Local Investment Fund at the regional level has already funded 671 projects and has invested 167,016,741

So far created 13,193 jobs, 50 percent more than originally planned.

Murcia, November 4, 2009 .- The Government Delegate in Murcia, Rafael González Tovar and the Mayor of Ceuta, Manuel González, visited this morning two of the eight projects funded under the Local Investment Fund in this area, representing an investment of 1,572,756.00 euros and generate 86 jobs.

The first visit was made to the Public School Diego Martínez Rico, which has carried out the pavement outside the school yard, the removal of architectural barriers, worth 234,510 euros, which have created 12 jobs.

Later, they visited the works of the proposed development for access to Ceutí Lorquí Avenue, with which delves into the sustainable mobility and improving road safety, including the implementation of a roundabout access to the town by the avenue , cited above, and the execution of an adjacent green area amounting to 355,124.00 euros and which have created 16 jobs.

The Government of Spain through the Local Investment Fund has made a payment of 70% of all projects of Ceuta, ie EUR 1,100,929.20.

To this is added, which Ceutí already has paid a project that is the street pavement repair Valladolid amounting € 35,349.35.

Projects to improve the town of Ceuta from the Local Investment Fund are:

Sidewalk renovation project on Calle de Don Eloy and others, amounting to 634,818 euros, with the creation of 23 jobs.

As for performances in public spaces or urban environments and / or industrial promotion is repairing the pavement of the street and others like Valladolid Salamanca Street, Calle Granada, Burgos Street and Calle Avila, works valued at 35,349 euros and have generated 8 jobs.

Viñas street paving and street repair Columbus firm with hot mix asphalt, worth 56,500 euros and the creation of 7 jobs.

Rehabilitation of the Wheel of The Torrao and environmental rehabilitation and paving the same, with an investment of 54,614 euros and the creation of 7 jobs.

Paving patio outside school and refurbishing of major access barrier to the Public School The Torrao, for a total of 76,560 euros and the creation of 6 jobs.

Renovation of the Plaza San Isidro and others, focusing on the refurbishment of pavements, equipment and furniture, valued at 125,280.00 euros and the creation of 7 jobs.

The Government representative stated that

“se están cubriendo los objetivos de dinamización de la economía, creación de empleo y mejora de las infraestructuras locales, especialmente en el sector de la construcción, que está siendo el más castigado por la crisisâ€.


González Tovar ha informado que ya son 33 los proyectos de los municipios de Murcia, Cartagena, Lorca, Beniel, Calasparra, Lorquí, Totana, Mula, La Unión, Santomera y Ceutí que han sido finalizados y han recibido del Ministerio de Política Territorial la transferencia del total de su importe.


Hasta el momento se han financiado el 70 por ciento del importe total de 671 proyectos, lo que ha supuesto 167.016.741 euros.

Con respecto al pago del 30 por ciento final, se realizará una vez acabada la obra y justificada la inversión ante el Ministerio de Política Territorial.


En cuanto al empleo creado, éste ha sido de 13.193 puestos de trabajo, de los cuales 4.483 son de nueva creación y 8.710 de personas ya integradas en las empresas que han realizado las obras.

El delegado del Gobierno ha recordado que los puestos de trabajo creados hasta el momento, suponen un 51 por ciento más de las previsiones iniciales.


En este momento, buena parte de las obras está llegando a su finalización que, tiene como fecha tope el 31 de diciembre, si bien se aceptará una prorroga de hasta tres meses siempre que sea por causas imputables al desarrollo de la obra.
