The Civil Guard dismantled a network dedicated to the market introduction of counterfeits (14/11/2009)

La Guardia Civil de Murcia has developed over the last few days the operation "NICARAGUA", which has been dismantling a criminal network dedicated to the market introduction of allegedly counterfeit banknotes.

Been arrested four members of the network, playing a house search in the town of Ceuta (Murcia) which has seized numerous counterfeit banknotes are legal tender and if any changed from different merchants.

The investigations began last October to be aware of the existence of a group of people who might be engaging crimes related to counterfeiting of currency.

The first performances took place to surprise the members of the criminal group in exchange for full performance of allegedly counterfeit banknotes are legal tender for other public facilities.

After this happened Civil Guard officers in collaboration with local police in the municipalities of Ceuta and Alguazas proceeded to the arrest of four persons as alleged perpetrators of the crime of counterfeiting.

Then established an investigational device designed to fully dismantle the infrastructure of the network, prior judicial authorization to practice entering and searching a property in the town of Ceuta (Murcia) used by detainees that managed to seize as many bills as counterfeit legal tender, as well as documentation related to the band.

JVMG, 34, Ecuadorian nationality.

JACR, 36, a Nicaraguan national.

RAMB, 40, of Salvadoran nationality.

RPGU, 33, Ecuadorian nationality.

All alleged perpetrators of the crime of counterfeiting.

Seized property:

In the house search performed in Ceuta (Murcia) was apprehended the following effects:

€ 2,000 alleged counterfeit tickets.

1,400 euros in legal tender notes allegedly acquired by changing allegedly counterfeit banknotes.

Various documents related to criminal network.

The detainees, seized property proceedings initiated and have been made available to the Court of Instruction Number Three of Molina de Segura (Murcia), which has exercised the judicial management of this operation.

Investigations are still ongoing and no further action ruling arrests.
